I have a bathroom and toilet next door to eachother. Can I add a toilet in the bathroom using the soil pipe from the toilet next door?
Current layout:
Proposed layout:
The existing soil pipe runs horizontally like so:
Could I change the L bend in the back of the toilet to a T junction and send the pipe through the wall to feed a second toilet? Given they'd be on the same horizontal soil pipe I worry that flushing one would suck the water out of the other's water trap.
I'm not worried about having two toilets next door to eachother. I'm considering the most pragmatic approach.
EDIT:
To add more context there is another connector below the vertical Tee (not sure what it's called) which waste water from the bath and sink next door runs through so dropping the Tee will require some rework of the bath/sink drainage:
EDIT 2:
Apologies for my rubbish mspaint drawings - the toilets are not back to back, the existing one faces south in the images. The new one would also face south (towards the doors).
