I just opened my electrical box for the first time and saw that the ground wire and neutral wires are connected to the same spot inside the box. Is this supposed to be this way? enter image description here I'm planning to install new circuit breaker and just wanted to make sure. Thanks

That is correct and normal for a main circuit breaker box.
