I’m converting from a tank to tankless condensating gas water heater into an exterior water heater closet. I’ve pulled new GFCI electrical and even added a light and switch.

My question is getting the condensation drain line to drain into a 2” sewer drain pipe in the same closet.

Is here an adapter to run the 1/2” drain line into the cleanout plug? Or is there some type of easy coupling tee available to place inline without removing the white PVC drain vent pipe?

Typically the condensate line goes into a neutralizer if needed (if you have metal drain pipes, or you city requires it) and then into a trap, so you put a trap connector into the cleanout socket.
