I want to install a point of use water heater to supply the kitchen sink faucet. (The wait time for hot water to arrive is simply too long.) We are central Virginia.
Figure tankless @ 1-2 GPM and tank @ 1.5-2.5 gal. I understand that a selection with the larger flow in either design will require pulling a new 240V circuit and am prepared to do that.
For each heater type, if the cold supply is used to input to the small heater, what do I do with the hot supply from the large house tank, or can I use the house hot water supply as the input to the new small undersink heater?
