I have a half pony wall that runs perpendicular to the trusses and want to make sure this is not load bearing. I want to take down just the half wall portion. In the pics you will see a light switch to the right before you go down some stairs...this would be were I would terminate the wall.

The pictured spindles would not be considered load bearing in most jurisdictions.

What your picture shows is nothing that could be considered worthwhile as to be "loadbearing".

You can take out the spindles without any serious issue.
