We get fixed water supply in our community from a common pump for 1 hour everyday. We have two tanks 1000 litres each but they get only half full. This water is not enough for our large family. We are not allowed to disturb the community’s common water supply pump and they won’t increase supply time more than an hour. Is there anything that we can do to increase the total water we get?

There would be one way to do it IMO

Install a suction pump (inline) at your home to help the remote pump deliver and overcome pressure and flow drop
