I need to remove this rail from this bracket. The two pieces are joined together in a way I’m not familiar with. It’s almost like part of one piece is riveted through holes in the other. What do you call this? What’s the best way to separate them?

You need to drill through the pressure welds. (marked by blue lines)

This will separate the two pieces.
