I saw this wall outside a hotel and am impressed. I wonder what it's called, what it's made of, and how to build it. How do they find all those seemingly random shaped rocks and align them in such a neat way? Or are those rocks prefabricated such that they'd align neatly? Either way, it seems like a lot of effort.

"Dry stack" faux stone. It's an assortment of stones in modular sizes, so by following a pattern or algorithm you achieve something that looks custom and hand-done. They're simply bonded to a substrate, like plywood or cement board, using mortar or adhesive.
