I’m trying to figure out how to run a MWBC to a single 20A GFCI. In my scenario, 12-3 is split and run from two separate breakers (neutral is shared between both circuits). I want to be able to energize (A) and (B) receptacles independently from each other via their respective breakers. The old GFCI was wired to allow for independent circuit operation, but I do not recall the setup and unfortunately did not take any pics or videos, which I normally do. I seem to recall the BLACK (hot) connected to the LINE side brass hub and the RED (hot) connected to the LOAD side brass hub; however, when I tried this setup the GFCI tripped.
With the current configuration shown, the GFCI does not trip, all (A) and (B) receptacles are engaged, but disengaging either receptacle group requires BOTH breakers to be shut off.
Not sure what to do at this point. Looking for guidance.
