How to properly cut replacement angled panel
The photograph shows a broken wood T11 panel and is to be replaced with a fiberboard panel. Because fiberboard is difficult to cut (and expensive): The goal is to correctly cut the new panel the first time.

Fill 1/2" gap between fiber board or create larger gap to fill?
Unfortunately, the gap between two pieces of fiberboard is 48 1/2 inches. The photos shows a 48 inch piece of fiberboard cut from a remnant, that fails to fill the 48 1/2 gap. Fiberboard is the side of the house.
