Software Engineer since 2000 moving towards Linux sys admin by 2010. Then moved to a rural block of land with my wife and built a house and helped her set up a Permaculture garden. Together, we owner-built a limestone, earth-covered-roof house, with the help of a qualified builder and learned a lot about timber framing and other construction. Erected a number of steel-framed sheds since then - mostly new materials for the structure and a mix of new and second-hand materials for internals, often using basic hand tools.
