I've been a DIYer for nearly 50 years, performing various home repair jobs like electrical and plumbing, but my true love is working with wood. I've built several furniture pieces, including bookcases, record cabinets, platform bed, dry sink, and screened in patios at two different homes. I also like to restore old furniture. Chief among these is a 95 year old ash chair the belonged to my wife's grandfather, and a vintage 1950's folding Cosco stepstool. I am currently working on moving my work area in the garage, into a dedicated outdoor shed/workshop.
