Had an unusually cold winter this year, so brought the plant inside when it got low to mid 40s in South Georgia. But they still turned brown and blackened the tips. Will it rebound from this or do I need to do some sort of extensive surgery or rehabilitation?

It has an abundance of green leaves. It will be fine. You can even remove a few of the worst leaves if you wish.
