Will the smaller size tires cause a code to read and damage the transmission? The jutter code.

A quick search for "tire size calculator" reveals multiple useful online tools.

The first one in my search included a comparison mode.

The end result is that your old and new tires differ by ~2% of their diameters.

In practice, tires are never made this much accurate because of the technology limitations. They also wear when used, losing precious milimeters in the process.

Car manufacturers are pretty much aware of these facts and generally make cars very tolerant to tire sizes.

The only thing that really matters is on 4x4 car to have tires of equal size on all four wheels. This is why you replace all four tires at once and periodically swap front/rear wheels.

p.s. be also aware that those two sizes require different rims. You cannot change 225/70/17 for 235/65/18 without replacing the 17" rims for 18" ones.
