This question had me thinking. If I have a 15 amp receptacle that is older, how far back did the 20 amp rating apply to 15 amp receptacles?
Would a 1980s 15 amp receptacle in good condition have the 20 amp rating or just be rated for 15 amps?
This is for NEMA 5-15 receptacles.
