I have some chairs that look like this. I have experience sanding and refinishing wood furniture that is either "mostly planar" or easily disassembled, but these chairs are so intricate (especially the "hammock" portion) that I am dreading finicky the job of cleaning, sanding, tacking, and reapplying finish.
Is there any alternative that I should consider before committing to the naïve solution?
