Does a dry pack pre-slope for a shower ever firm up?
I built a dry pack for my shower's pre-slope. It's properly sloped. But I'm not sure if that's ever supposed to dry firm. Is it supposed to stay dry hard sandy stuff? Or is it supposed to firm up to something more like concrete.

How much water should I add for 5:1 dry pack (deck mud)?
I am mixing 5:1 dry pack. Everyone online shows that it should just barely hold form in a ball. And it should crumble when squeezed. How much water should I add to this mix? I'm using Quickcrete Sand and Topping mix which is 3:1 and mixing one part…
